Huge portions, strong drinks, and a waiter that can memorize your entire table's order. Awesome place!

My biggest problem with this restaurant is the cheese is watered down and if you order buffet..... they are very stingy with shrimp. They will only bring like 10 shrimp out with 10 people waiting.

This place makes the best guacamole and they make it when you order so it is fresh. The food is great and fresh.

Great Mexican by any standards. I have been working in NA a lot lately and coming here multiple times a week. Fast service too!! Wish there was one in my neck of the woods

We was just passing through and was looking for a nice place to eat. My wife always loves Mexican food and they had great reviews. We were not disappointed.  It was good for a quick lunch. I think it was almost as fast as a fast food and was way better. Enchiladas was delicious  and the  Chimichangas Rellenos was awesome. Chips and salsa was nice and fresh.

For a moderately priced Mexican Restaurant I haven't had better.  I picked up "to go" and it was professionally wrapped and packaged to stay warm .  Sauces were tasty, refried best I've had and even the tossed salad was tasty. House margarita was good and "to go" service was quick. Lots of food so split your meal or bring some home.

This is not your average Mexican restaurant! We have never had a bad experience at El Agave. The food is incredible and service is fantastic. The food is fresh and well seasoned. You will not regret coming to have supper with them!

One of my favorite restaurants in New Albany.  I'm from Southern California so I think I know a little something about Mexican Food, and El Agave knows a lot about Mexican Food.  When it comes to the service, food, and drinks this restaurant never disappoints.  Best Patron Margaritas in town!!  Great place for families and friends to eat, drink, and socialize.

We stopped by on our way down the interstate heading to the beach. Although this place falls squarely in the cheap Mexican genre, they're really taking it to a new level with excellent service and really great food. Their guacamole is wonderful. If this place was closer to home, we'd be regulars.

The food is wonderful and the staff is amazing. Ask for Luis if you come by here. He's a wonderful waiter and he cares for his customers. The place is kept clean and is in top notch shape. I recommend anyone eat here.

Stopped on our way home from vacation. Decided to give it a try because of the great reviews. This place was so good. The guacamole was probably the best guacamole I've had at a restaurant. The burrito was so good and not packed with rice and beans. The green sauce was amazing and the service was great!!

My husband and I stumbled on to this Resturant and we are Super glad we did!! This is not your typical generic dime a dozen Mexican joint, this place has awesome food, drinks, makes their own tortillas and fresh guacamole bar. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. Great service and our waiter was very knowledgeable. We are making this our go to spot when we pass through which is several times a year. Extremely satisfied!!!

Chips are light, not heavy and greasy. Taco salad was great. Of course, the margaritas were great. Will return when I'm back in the area.

El Agave is my favorite restaurant in New Albany. The menu has something for everyone, from burritos to burgers to tostadas, and the service can't be beat. Everyone is very friendly and even when they're crowded, which is more often than not, the restaurant rolls like a well oiled machine - the food never takes very long and is always delivered with a smile. Thursdays are two-for-1 margarita night and needless to say, my favorite night of the week.

Passing through on highway and not disappointed! This is a wonderful Mexican restaurant! Authentic and just enough spice. I got the house margarita that was not not lacking any alcohol and the California burrito which was tender steak with Colorado sauce was perfect. Large portions and-  Food came in minutes from ordering- great service! I wish I lived close! Yummy.

El Agave Mexican Grill @ 650 Park Plaza Drive, New Albany, MS.  Had a small family, after Christmas gathering today with my wife, daughter, cousin Richie and his wife Lori plus their new addition, Baby Gibbs.  We had all heard good things about El Agave, but had never been, so we decided to give them a try.  The dishes I ordered or sampled were the Guacamole, Brochetas, Fried Stuffed Fillet, and Bulldog Burger.   We started with their Authentic Guacamole Mexicano.  Everyone at the table that tried it LOVED It!  They make it fresh daily with a base of smashed avocado, mixed with chopped tomatoes, onion, cilantro, a small amount of jalapeños, lime juice and salt. It had nice finish that stood out to me which was probably just the right amount of lime juice.  I ordered the Brochetas which was recommended to me by the owner. It's two skewers loaded with cuts of ribeye steak, shrimp, mushrooms, tomatoes, bell peppers, and onion.  With a side of white rice and cheese sauce.  Once it arrived, I saw why it was so popular.  It had huge hunks of thick ribeye steak with equally large grilled veggies and shrimp. I'll tell y'all, I've about quit ordering anything with steak from Mexican restaurants because for almost every piece of good meat I'd have a "chewy" piece, which I can't stand.  But every thick, hunk of ribeye from my Brocheta was as tender as you could ask for.  From the first bite to the last.  Now, mine was cooked mostly medium and was tender and delicious.  But, if you prefer, you might could request it be cooked more or less.  My wife had the Fried Tilapia stuffed with grilled shrimp, then covered in cheese sauce.  It comes with a side of rice and steamed veggies.  It looked scrumptious and since I was "allowed" one bite, I can say that it was as good as it looked!  The Tilapia had a crispy grilled crust that had a real "Mmmm" factor!  And combined with the shrimp, cheese and rice made it a new flavor experience worth trying.  Lori had the bulldog burger and offered me a bite which I gladly accepted.  The burger was way bigger than I was expecting.  From the photos I saw on their menu I thought it would be a lot smaller. It turned out to be quite larger.  It comes with an 8 once patty, lettuces, tomato, onion, pickles and cheese with a side of fries.  The first thing I noticed was the slight crispy char on the patty that had a great flavor.  Everything from the bun to the patty seemed well thought out.  We also tested a couple of their drinks that are worth mentioning.  Occasionally I try and find good sangria and have even tried making it without much success.  El Gave does it right!   They make their own  with fresh fruit, brandy, red wine, and orange juice. After speaking with the owner, I found that he had tried at least 5 different sangria recipes before declaring this one worthy of his restaurant. And with is bold and balanced flavor I fully agree! The other drink we "sampled" was their CANTARITO.  It's one of the more traditional cocktails made in Mexico. It's a combination of freshly squeezed oranges, grapefruit, lime juice, Tequila Cazadores Reposado, and Mexican grapefruit soda.  This one had a lot of fruit and good flavor also but was a little more subtle compared to the Sangria.  I liked them both but preferred the Sangria because of the bolder flavor.  Others preferred the CANTARITO.  This is why if your interested in a menu item, try it for yourself before judging an item solely on someone else's review. Everyone has their own taste, and their is enough verity for everyone to enjoy!  El Agave has many unique creations and a menu worth exploring.  #eatingoutwithjeffjonesSee more LOCAL Favorites and their FAMOUS foods!  Check out my blog "Eating Out With Jeff Jones", Click Like and Enjoy!  facebook.com/eatingoutwi…#downtowntupelo #mytupelo #tupelofoodie #foodstagram #foodie

The chips and salsa are fantastic. My kids loved the cheese dip. My wife just made the statement, "this is the best chimichanga I have ever had!" The waiter was very attentive. Everything was very clean and we loved the atmosphere. An easy 5 star from us!

My 5 adult children and had one of the best Mexican dinners here we have ever had.  We all had different dishes and it was amazing that everyone commented how it was probably one of the best tasting Mexican meals they have had.  My Daughter had the steak/chicken mix Fajita.  OMG great flavor, meat was tender and juicy.  Service was super fast and spot on.  You have to try this place.
